British manufacturer of high quality muck spreaders and trailers.

Muck spreaders

We design and manufacture high-quality muck spreaders. Our extensive range includes vertical and horizontal beaters all designed to give maximum output with consistent and accurate spreading.

Trailers

We design and manufacture high-quality trailers. Our extensive range includes tipping, compacting, dumping and flatbed trailers all designed to give maximum efficiency and capacity.

Spreading around 15,000 tonnes of chicken muck each year, J.A. & O. Griffiths uses a Ktwo Bio 1800 Mk 3 to spread onto grassland, stubbles and running down tramlines – the latter a useful topdressing role in the spring. The spreader is fitted with on-board weighing and automatic application rate control to monitor and record what is being spread.

Farm manager Alex Pyke explains their reasons for purchasing the Bio spreader, “We are no longer dealing with a waste product which used to be piled onto fields at any opportunity. We have improved the value of our manure by spreading it accurately and efficiently.”

Operated behind either a Fendt 936 or Challenger MT765C both equipped with RTK steering, the spreader combines an RDS Apollo controller and four weigh cells to accurately apply up to 4t/acre to comply with Nitrate Vulnerable Zone rules.

Alfred Moore, father of brothers Wesley, Brian and Raymond, would be proud to see the latest edition to the family business. Moores of Froxton, Devon, have just taken delivery of six 12 tonne Roadeo Silage trailers from Ktwo in Buckinghamshire.

Putting them straight into service, working on over 10,000 acres around the Devon / Cornwall borders, the family business has gone from strength to strength since 1950 when Alfred started with a Fordson Major E27N, a machine still running today.

The Moores were impressed by the Roadeo’s commercial axle with 10 stud hubs and 420 x 180 mm brakes which ensure the safest and most efficient braking. Fitted alongside springs, Ktwo added load sensors to the specification at Wesley's request.

Jamie Lewis, Farm Maintenance Manager at Chasemore Farm, manages the general day-to day running of the land for owners Andrew and Jane Black who took over the 340-acre property in 2007.

Transforming the arable farm it once was to the modern stud facility it is today has had its challenges for the Chasemore Team and Jamie has recently been working to improve 100 acres of new post and rail paddocks suffering from a heavy clay soil.

Jamie wanted to use waste materials from the horses to help improve the structure and nutrient content in these paddocks. “The waste is clean and comprises of a lot of straw with some wood shavings,” he explained, “which takes a very long time to break down to enable us to use it as manure on the paddocks.”
